West Michigan Wednesday: Birthday Palooza!

One of the things I love most about my home is the location! I love living in West Michigan and enjoy many activities around town. I wanted to create a series that explores some of the great things that this area has to offer.

I have had so much fun celebrating my birthday week with family and friends! This year, I decided to celebrate all week by visiting some of my local favorites!!

Here are some of the highlights:

Hearthstone Bistro

Pronto Pups

Planetarium at MCC
BernieO’s Pizza
Curry Kitchen
Kazumi Japanese Steakhouse

18th Amendment Distillery

“These are a few of my favorite things…”

May Flowers

In honor of my late father’s birthday this week, I stopped by my local greenhouse to pick up a few of of our favorite flowers.

My dad loved flowers and made sure I had several planted at my new house. Maybe this will be the summer that I’ll have Hydrangea and Peony blooms of my own!

This felt like a nice way to honor him and celebrate his birthday this year.

Gone but never forgotten. Always in our hearts.

West Michigan Wednesday: “Death of a Salesman” at Central Park Players in Grand Haven

As always, here is the blurb from the website:

Through a series of tragic soul-searching revelations of the life he has lived with his wife, his sons, and his business associates, we discover how his quest for the “American Dream” kept him blind to the people who truly loved him. “

Performances will be at the Grand Haven Community Center located at 421 Columbus St., Grand Haven May 12-13 @ 7:30, May 14 @ 2:00, May 19-20 at 7:30.

Tulips for days!

I am loving these tulips that I picked up around Valentines Day! There is just something about a bouquet of tulips that makes my living room feel so fresh and ready for spring!

You can never have too many tulips, right!?

We have had some unseasonably warm weather and the pretty pastels bring that springtime feeling right into my living room!
