The Green Well is a locally owned and operated restaurant located in the East Hills of Grand Rapids. It combines a really cool aesthetic with locally sourced food, eclectic menu,  and a friendly staff. I  tried the veggie pad thai and it did not disappoint! If you’re ever in Grand Rapids be sure to stop by for lunch, dinner, or drinks!

Fatty Lumpkins Sandwich Shack is a locally owned and operated restaurant in Muskegon.  They are opened daily for lunch and offer a great selection of salads and sandwiches. The food is really fresh and reasonably priced!  I love the decor of course; from the whimsical exterior to the vibrant walls inside. The atmosphere is really relaxed and it’s a great place to stop on your lunch hour!

I love the bright cheerful decor and friendly staff. The prices are very reasonable for huge portions. I tried the Chicken Pad Thai and the Thai Sesame Chicken. Both were abosultely amazing! In fact, the sesame chicken is the best I’ve ever had! I’m not even kidding when I say that I ate until it hurt. HaHa!

Even if you’ve never had Thai food before, be sure to stop in and check it out. There are some great staples on the menu including egg drop soup, sweet & sour chicken, orange chicken, and pot stickers. I’m sure everyone can find something to love at Mama’s! I will definitely be going back often. I usually get Chinese take-out once a week, but I’m thinking this may just become my go to place!

West Michigan Wednesday

This week I was finally able to stop by Righteous Cuisine in Grand Haven. This restaurant had it’s grand opening in December and I had heard so many wonderful things that I had to check it out myself.

Righteous Cuisine is a locally owned and operated Tex Mex restaurant located on 7th street in Grand Haven. It started off as a food truck and has expanded into this stand alone location opening last month. The food is absolutely amazing! The ingredients are fresh and locally sourced and everything is homemade. Yum!

I picked up my meal to-go and everything was still wonderful after the drive home. The flavor combos are so refreshing and fun. I couldn’t decide what to try first so I opted for both a Pork Butt Taco (with a pineapple relish… trust me it’s amazing) and a Chicken Taco (with sweet potato). You guys, I ate SO much.  I can’t decide which one I like more! There are so many other options available a homemade vegan chili. The decor is wonderful with rustic elements and a little southwest flare. And you all know I can get behind anyone who serves their beverages in a mason jar. 🙂

If you’re in Grand Haven and want to try out something new, fresh and unique, be sure to stop by Righteous Cuisine and give treat to your taste buds.
