West Michigan Wednesday: “Death of a Salesman” at Central Park Players in Grand Haven

One of the things I love most about my home is the location! I love living in West Michigan and enjoy many activities around town. I wanted to create a series that explores some of the great things that this area has to offer.

“Death of a Salesman” opens this weekend at Central Park Players in Grand Haven!

As always, here is the blurb from the website:

“The story revolves around the last days of Willy Loman, a failing salesman, who cannot understand how he failed to win success and happiness. Through a series of tragic soul-searching revelations of the life he has lived with his wife, his sons, and his business associates, we discover how his quest for the “American Dream” kept him blind to the people who truly loved him. “

Performances will be at the Grand Haven Community Center located at 421 Columbus St., Grand Haven May 12-13 @ 7:30, May 14 @ 2:00, May 19-20 at 7:30.

Join Grand Haven’s Central Park Players for this weekend’s production of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”

Here is the blurb from the website:

In this hilarious Christmas classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids–probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won’t believe the mayhem – and the fun – when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas story head on!

This delightful comedy is adapted from the best-selling young adult book, and has become a holiday staple for groups across the United States! Features plenty of great roles for children and adults, a few favorite Christmas carols, and a lot of laughs!

The Green Well is a locally owned and operated restaurant located in the East Hills of Grand Rapids. It combines a really cool aesthetic with locally sourced food, eclectic menu,  and a friendly staff. I  tried the veggie pad thai and it did not disappoint! If you’re ever in Grand Rapids be sure to stop by for lunch, dinner, or drinks!

As always here is the blurb: “Midsummer Jersey is the hilarious high-octane re-telling of Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream set on the boardwalk of a seaside town in modern-day New Jersey. The story revolves around the impending marriage of the Governor of New Jersey, the love affairs of four beach-bound high school crushes, a lively crew of fairies and the staff of the local beauty salon (run by Patti Quince and Stylist Nikki Bottom). The night takes a magical turn when Oberon and the impish Puck arrive on the scene armed with a powerful love potion and a desire for mischief making. With several weddings and the acting careers of six beauticians hanging in the balance, the lovers take to the boardwalk, backed by pop music and an iPhone-obsessed wood sprite.
