Hey There! My name is Katie and I live in West Michigan. I love theatre, road trips, reading, and ice cream.
I just purchased a beautiful little house as I start “Chapter Two” of my life, post divorce. I named my new home “Morning Joy” which was inspired by the verse “Weeping may endure for the night, But joy comes in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5) This is my new day, my new start. Please join me as I embark on the adventure (trials and errors…lots of ’em) of solo home ownership.
My goal is that HeartHavenHome will be a creative outlet, online scrapbook, and a great way to keep family and friends updated on my life. I hope to inspire other women who, for whatever reason, are trying to make it on their own. We CAN do this!

Thanks for reaching out to others going through the same thing. I had a lot of problems with my first marriage and it really was a blessing in disguise when he divorced me. But it was tough for a while and it was rough loosing my children-they were my life. But God has helped me a lot and I think I’ll make it . Nice to know that other people out there are willing to help. Congrats on your new home!
