Thanksgiving can be a difficult time for many. For me, it brings back some tough memories and even more bittersweet memories of the people I’ve lost. This year, I have decided to use the holiday season as a time to purge all toxicity from my life and focus on the things that mater most.

Working in retail and living away from family, I don’t get to celebrate Thanksgiving in a traditional sense. But I have come up with my own traditions and I still take time to be Thankful for the blessings in my life.

I am so fortunate to have people that lift me up rather than hold me back. I am blessed to have such an amazing support system of loving people. I am thankful for family that is willing to drive 2.5 hours to eat breakfast with me before driving back for their own Thanksgiving meals. I live and own a home in a community that supports the arts. I have my health, comfort, and my faith. I. Am. So. Thankful.

Wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving and the start to a joyful, happy, and healthy Holiday season!

Here are a few photos of my fall decor this year!

My favorite fall candle! Leaves from Bath and Body Works. I love it paired with my burlap table runner and a few sparkly pumpkins I picked up from Hobby Lobby a few years back.

I also brought back my favorite fall centerpiece as seen as seen last year.

Fall Flowers

imageI hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I was able to spend the morning with my mom and got a ton of projects done around the house. Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, my mind is shifting gears into Christmas. However, I did want to take a moment to share this pretty fall arrangement that I picked up at the grocery store a while back. I am a sucker for a big, happy sunflower!

Simple Fall Centerpiece

Today I’m sharing a really simple fall/Thanksgiving centerpiece. I picked up everything over the past month or so from Target but unfortunately most of the pieces have now gone clearance. However, this would be really easy to recreate with items that you may already have around the house.

gold tray with fall figurines. so pretty for thanksgiving

I love mixing gold, silver, and neutrals for the holidays so this is right up my ally. I started with the mirrored gold tray and added the white pumpkin with gold details, silver pear and the wooden pomegranate figurines. I think it is a really pretty, subtle nod to fall.
